To Bernard Mensah, the power of making choices lies within one, and this belief inspires him to paint the colorful "Possibility" series. "The series is about the dynamics in decision-making. Create an atmosphere of possibility within and around you, and achieve only possible outcomes," explains the Ghanaian artist. "Making the right decisions lets you live in the lighter area; make the wrong ones and live in the dark." Painting with acrylics, he creates the illusion of myriad windows and down one column he includes four Adinkra symbols. From the top down, they start with Dwannimmen, which stands for humility and strength, Gye Nyame which represents God's omnipotence, Funtunmfunafu dua calls for unity and Denkyem representing adaptability. The fourth and sixth images are Mensah's own creation.
